Listel

The history of the wines of the Sables du Golfe de Lion and the Camargue is closely linked to that of the Pays d’Oc.

The soil is quite unusual, being largely composed of sand. Stretching along the Mediterranean, this soil imparts a special character to the wines made here. The warmth of the sun, reflected from the sand onto the grapes, packs this range of wines with wonderful fruit aromas and tastes. Created in 1883, when it was found that phylloxera could not survive in sandy soil, Domaines Listel has since gone on to become Europe’s largest wine producer. - See more at: http://g-vincenti.com/BrandDetails.aspx?pageid=1640#sthash.Vdr8Cuy3.dpuf
